We invite members of the community, along with members of the Greater Shiloh Church family, to celebrate Black History Month, as well as the rich history of the Greater Shiloh Church. Shiloh, which began as an African American Baptist church, has existed as an anchor within greater Easton and the Lehigh Valley since 1904. In its 113 years, the church has served the community through worship service, outreach programs, and many other forms of service.
Some of the church’s contributions to the community have been Shiloh Estates, Shiloh Manor senior independent living home, and The Nehemiah House of Restoration transitional home among others.
At 1:30, on February 26th, we will show a documentary sharing the church’s rich history in the community, narrated by Dr. Bill Scott, the former Director of Africana Studies at Lehigh University. Following the video, members of the church will host a talk and Q&A, with refreshments provided.
