MANY MOONS REMEMBERED

Starting with a blank canvas our curators Andria and Nancy were busy putting the exhibit of Many Moons Remembered in place.
Volunteer, David Miers, was instrumental in helping to get the portraits hung. Here is a look at the beginnings of the exhibit:

Roseberry, Mixsell, White, Cottingham, Bixler, Drinkhouse: a Who’s Who of prominent Easton families of the mid 1800′s. Painter, Samuel Moon, captured the likenesses of these families and many more during the time of his studio between 1830 and 1860. From the collections of the Northampton County Historical & Genealogical Society, many of Samuel Moon’s portraits will be on exhibit for the first time in several decades. See the portraits and learn the story of the lives behind the faces painted by Samuel Moon.
