Passport to History Month – Weekend One

August 7 – August 8, 2021, Explore the Past
Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month 2021

August is Passport to History Month – a celebration of local history, stories, and the community that bring Lehigh Valley history to life.

Each weekend, participating historic and cultural sites will open their doors to the public with tours, activities, and programs for visitors of all ages.

Sigal Museum will be offering free admission to the museum on Saturday, August 7 (10:00-4:00) and Sunday, August 8 (12:00-4:00)

Saturday, August 7, 11:00-2:00: We’ll host our popular “Sidewalk Series” in conjunction with the Easton Farmers’ Market. After you finish browsing all the local farm goodness, stop by Sigal Museum for a demonstration of a historical skill and pick up a kids’ “Take and Make” crafting activity. It’s Peach Day at the Market, so we’ll be doing a whittling demonstration (Have you seen historical peach pit carvings?) and giving kids instructions and supplies to “carve” a soap figure at home.

Families can also play their way through the galleries with Museum Explorer backpacks filled with activities, Museum Bingo, and a Dollhouse “I Spy” game.

Visit the Passport to History website or Facebook page for maps, itineraries, and activities.

Also check out our fellow Weekend One sites:
