May 2023’s feature is Being Asian in America, a 2022 documentary analysis from the Pew Research Center.
In a Pew Research Center analysis based on 66 focus groups conducted in the fall of 2021, Asian American participants described navigating their own identity in a nation where the label “Asian” brings expectations about their origins, behavior and physical self.
Being Asian in America is 32 minutes in length and will be shown at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 PM in the John R. Austen Auditorium of the Sigal Museum. Masks are strongly encouraged.
