Each month, tune in to explore some of our favorite artifacts, delve into the overarching themes of our galleries, or get a sneak peek into the planning and design of an upcoming exhibit.
On May 28, 2025, join our Curator of Exhibitions as we study one of the most remarkable and significant collections in our archives: the original 1946 reports of the first International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, as reported by Easton native Ted Pierce.
In his role as a radio announcer for the American Forces Network, Pierce focused his observations on the behavior of the top Nazi officials on trial at the Palace of Justice in the fall of 1945 and spring of 1946. As one of hundreds of reporters covering this monumental case, his reports are uniquely his own, filled with biting commentary and frank observations while acknowledging his own fortune at being selected for such a responsibility.
The questions that Pierce himself raised in his work continue to echo 80 years after the end of the war.
