African American Read-In Book Drive

Celebrate Black History Month by sharing your favorite African American history or storybook with the children in our community!

Sigal Museum is collecting books by and about African Americans in exchange for museum admission for the month of February. Book & Puppet is offering titles at 20% off for the book drive. Books will be donated to Easton Cops ‘n’ Kids.

What is the African American Read-In?
The National African American Read-In is the nation’s first and oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month. This initiative has reached more than 6 million participants around the world.
