Bus Trip – Museum of the American Revolution, Philadelphia – SOLD OUT

October 1, 2019, 8:30 am

Spend a day in Philadelphia with NCHGS!

Join friends old and new as we visit the Museum of the American Revolution.

Our Trans-Bridge bus will depart from the William Penn Highway/Rt. 33 Park-and-Ride lot (5715 William Penn Hwy, Easton, PA 18045) at 8:30. We will watch a film and take a private guided highlights tour upon arrival. Lunch is on your own (we will provide a list of recommendations) with plenty of time to return to the museum and explore before our 3:30 departure.

A new exhibition will be on display at the time of our visit: Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldier
What can a life tell us about an era? Follow the untold story of Irish soldier and artist Richard St. George, whose personal trauma and untimely death provide a window into the entangled histories of the American Revolution of 1776 and the Irish Revolution of 1798. The art he created and commissioned visualizes a unique perspective of the physical and emotional costs of these revolutionary moments.
