Sigal Museum

Join us at the Sigal Museum for a special screening of Echoes of Freedom: The African American Experience in the Lehigh Valley, a powerful new 30-minute documentary premiering in the region.

Presented by the African American Business Leaders Council and PBS39, Echoes of Freedom lifts up the often-untold stories of African Americans who helped shape the Lehigh Valley—and those who continue to shape it today. Blending archival footage, oral histories, and new interviews, the film explores freedom, belonging, resilience, and community across generations.

Following the screening, stay for a conversation and Q&A with Lindsay Watson, On-Air Host and Associate Producer of the film, who will share insights into the filmmaking process, community collaboration, and the importance of preserving local history.

RSVP required.
Admission is free for NCHGS members and Lehigh Valley Media/PBS39 members.
General admission is $10, with proceeds split between NCHGS and Lehigh Valley Media/PBS39.

This purpose-driven documentary elevates local voices and honors the lasting impact of African Americans on the Lehigh Valley—storytelling built with the community, for the community.
