February 26 is national Letter to an Elder Day, created to show our love and appreciation for our elders by sending handwritten notes and letters. Letter to an Elder Day was started by the organization Love for Our Elders, whose mission is to fight loneliness with love and bring hope and comfort to elders in isolation.
During the month of February, stop by the Sigal Museum and pick up a to-go kit containing all the materials you will need to write a letter to an elder. All materials will be provided. When you have written your letter, return it to the Sigal Museum by Sunday, February 27. All letters will be delivered by our staff to the Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth.
