Lunch & Learn: Easton Farmers’ Market & Buy Fresh Buy Local

May 1, 2019, 12:30-1:30 pm

Take a mid-day break, pique your curiosity, and learn something new with our Lunch & Learn series. Lunch & Learn programs will be held the first Wednesday of the month from 12:30-1:30 pm. Visit the Sigal Museum for an informal talk, workshop, or discussion. Bring your own lunch or order a boxed meal from our friends at Easton Public Market.

This month’s topic: Easton Farmers’ Market and Buy Fresh Buy Local
Celebrate the 267th season opening of the market, coming up on May 4th! Join EFM Board member Paul Strikwerda and explore the oldest, continuous open-air market in the nation – fresh food and goods from farmer to family since 1752.

Allison Czapp, Director of Greater Lehigh Valley Buy Fresh Buy Local, will also be on hand to discuss growing the Lehigh Valley food economy, family farms, farmers markets, and agritourism.

BFBLGLV, a program of the Nurture Nature Center, is working to build the Greater Lehigh Valley local food economy by educating consumers about the many benefits of choosing locally grown foods; promoting local food providers; improving fresh food access; facilitating local food purchases by wholesale buyers; providing research about our local food economy; and convening the Thriving Local Food System branch of the Food Policy Council.
