Museum & Library Alliance Conservation Workshop, May 26, 2018, 2:00-4:00 pm

The Museum & Library Alliance of the Greater Lehigh Valley is hosting a workshop at the Sigal Museum on May 26th from 2:00-4:00 pm.
 
Conservator Josiah Wagener will demonstrate how to stabilize objects in poor condition until proper conservation can be sought. 

This event is free to MLA members. $20 for non-members. Refreshments provided. 

Josiah Wagener is a firefighter, baker of pies, art conservator, and part-time adventurer. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Art Conservation from SUNY Buffalo State College and had experience working in the Conservation labs at the Shelburne Museum, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, The Mariners’ Museum in Newport News, and the Denver Art Museum. Josiah has done work for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the New York City Fire Museum, the Fire Museum of Maryland, the National Museum of Industrial History, the United States Senate, and for various private clients. He has also worked as an on-site conservator at archaeological projects in Iceland, and Italy and at historic sites in Antarctica and California. As a longtime firefighter, Josiah takes a particular interest in conserving historic fire equipment.
