Roaring 20s Northampton County – Dinner, Drinks, and Lecture – April 11, 2018, 6:30 pm, Sun Inn, Bethlehem

The Tavern at the Sun Inn, Sun Inn Preservation Association and Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society proudly present a night out at the Sun Inn featuring an interactive lecture about the Roaring 20s in Northampton County.

The lecture, presented by Brittany Schrum Merriam, curator of the Sigal Museum, will focus on Bethlehem and Easton as centers of gilded age excesses. Bethlehem and Easton were often frequented by citizens of New York City for weekend pilgrimages for virtually unfettered access to fine foods, strong drinks, and other pleasures. The last train from New York in those days was often bound for Bethlehem and for good reason.

The evening will highlight the tastes the Roaring 20s in Bethlehem as prepared by Chef William Gruenewald of Tavern at the Sun Inn and a popular drink of the Roaring 20s – the Ward 8. Call 610-866-1758 or click here for reservations.
