On August 27, 2025, join our Curator of Exhibits for the story of Walter Cyphers, the last iceman to deliver 40-pound buckets or 100-pound cakes of ice to apartments and businesses around Easton. Referring to himself as a “certified solidified water merchant”, the Easton Express noted the end of the era when he retired in 1973 as “the iceman goeth – and refrigeration wins.”
