NCHGS Philadelphia Bus Trip, September 26, 2017

$85 Members, $100 Non-Members

Spend the day in Philadelphia with NCHGS friends and members this fall!

Our first stop will be the Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the city’s “disturbingly informative” gem of medical history and oddities.

We’ll break for lunch at the historic City Tavern then continue on to the University of Pennsylvania’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. There will be time to explore on your own, but we will also take a guided tour of the upcoming Cultures in the Crossfire: Stories from Syria and Iraq exhibit. This new exhibition, created in conjunction with the Penn Cultural Heritage Center, sheds light on the ongoing destruction of cultural heritage in the Middle East by showing what’s at stake – the rich history of the region and the diversity of its people – and what’s being done to prevent the loss of this history and cultural identity.

Seating is limited. Tickets for the bus trip will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and must be purchased in advance of September 26th.

You may pay at the Sigal Museum, via mail, or over the phone or website via credit card. If paying via Paypal, click the “Donate” button on the Home page of this website. Enter “Philadelphia Bus Trip,” plus names and number of guests, in the “Notes” section of the accompanying message.
