The Legacy Society of Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society was established to honor individuals who designate charitable gifts to NCHGS through their estates.

We invite you to join with others who made a commitment to the future of NCHGS through planned giving.

To become a member is simple. Include NCHGS as a beneficiary of your estate in whichever manner you choose, and notify us of your commitment.

Your estate plan can remain confidential, and you retain the right to amend your estate plans at any time.

Through your membership in the Legacy Society, your gift and your generosity will be acknowledged today, and you can enjoy the company and fellowship of other forward-thinking members.

Philanthropic Choices

There are many ways that you can plan your estate and designate NCHGS as a beneficiary. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Charitable Bequests through your will or trust
  • Life Insurance
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Trust or Remainder Trust
  • Gifts of Stocks
  • Life-Estate Agreement
  • Gift Annuity
  • Contingency Planning

Please contact your attorney or financial advisor to discuss how you can best establish your legacy of philanthropy.

If you have made a commitment to include a gift to NCHGS through your estate, and want to become a member of the Legacy Society contact us at 610-253-1222. You may choose to be an inspiration to others by allowing the use of your name as a member of the Legacy Society in NCHGS publications, or you may request that your membership be kept confidential and be acknowledged as an anonymous donor.
