Easton Heritage Day

July 7, 2024, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, Easton Historic District

Celebrate the spirit of independence and its enduring legacy!

A full-day family festival, Heritage Day showcases local history and the heritage of many groups with reenactment events, activities for kids, musical performances, and tours of downtown Easton’s historic structures and museums.

NCHGS Schedule:

  • 11:00 AM – The Sigal Museum opens to the public for $5.00 admission or a $10.00 wristband for all sites.
  • 11:30 AM – Bachmann Players and historical reenactors gather at the 1753 Bachmann Publick House for a parade to Centre Square.
  • 12:00 PM – Reading of the Declaration of Independence in Center Square by Robert Levers (portrayed by Christopher Black), who at the time served as Justice of the Peace in Northampton County and read the Declaration from the steps of the original courthouse on July 8, 1776.
  • 1:00 PMNCHGS’s historic sites open to the public for $5.00 admission or a $10.00 wristband for all sites.
  • 2:00 PM – Free screening of “Craft in America: Quilts” in the Sigal Museum auditorium
  • 4:00 PM – NCHGS’s historic sites close for the evening
  • 6:00 PM – The Sigal Museum closes for the evening.
